Job summary

Mental Health Partnerships is hiring a full-time Certified Recovery Specialist at 7200 Chestnut Street, Upper Darby, PA 19082. The role supports empowerment, recovery, and community integration for individuals with opioid use disorder and co-occurring substance misuse.

Schedule is Mon-Fri 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM with a $19.00/hour rate. Responsibilities include helping clients set self-directed recovery goals, building sober networks, accessing resources, and documenting progress in EHRs.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a High School or GED Diploma; Associates Degree in a Human Services related field is preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year sober from all substances and credentialed as a Recovery Specialist.
• Must possess basic computer skills including desktop computing and EHR systems.
• Strong communication, teamwork, and organizational abilities; customer service oriented.
• Valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with participants to create self-directed recovery goals.
• Support sober networks and connect to resources and housing options per plan.
• Attend social activities and resource fairs to promote engagement.
• Develop crisis plans and facilitate recovery support groups as needed.
• Document participant progress in the electronic health records system.
• Perform other duties to fulfill MHP's mission.

Certified Recovery Specialist (Full-Time)

MHP is hiring a full-time Certified Recovery Specialist to provide mobile, flexible, community-based services designed to promote empowerment, recovery, and community integration of individuals who have challenges with Opioid Use Disorder and Co-occurring Substance Misuse. Certified Recovery Specialists facilitate opportunities for individuals receiving service to direct their own recovery and advocacy process by teaching and supporting individuals with the acquisition and utilization of skills, promoting knowledge of available service options, choices and the utilization of natural resources in the community, and helping facilitate the development of a sense of wellness and self-worth.

Location: 7200 Chestnut Street, Upper Darby, PA 19082
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM
Rate: $19.00/hour

What you'll do!

• Collaborate with participants to create self-directed goals to assist them in their path to sobriety and overall recovery.
• Support participants with building a sober network, Opioid and substance misuse resources, educational, employment, and social related goals, benefit/medical resources, budgeting skills and exploring housing options in accordance with their support plan.
• Attend socialization activities, such as attending resource fairs, recovery walks, recovery learning centers, 12 step meetings, etc.
• In collaboration with participants, create crisis plans, facilitate recovery support groups on participants' interests as needed.
• Collaboratively document participant progress in the electronic health records system.
• Other duties as assigned to fulfill MHP's mission

Requirements

• Minimum of a High School or GED Diploma; Associates Degree in a Human Services related field is preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year sober from all substances
• Credentialed as a Certified Recovery Specialist and certified through the PA Certification Board.
• Within the last three (3) years, maintained at least 12 months of successful full or part-time paid or voluntary work experience.
• Must possess basic computer skills to perform job duties including desktop computing, e-mail, timesheet management, electronic health records, internet research, etc. and the ability to learn software applications relevant to your position.
• Strong skillsets in oral and written communication, cultural competence, interpersonal relationships and teamwork, attention to detail, customer service, time management, autonomy, problem solving and organization.
• Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines and billable unit requirements, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service.
• Must possess a valid driver's license
