RN.com is seeking a dedicated Radiology Technologist for a 13-week assignment in Cincinnati, Ohio. This role involves performing radiographs and patient interactions, ensuring high-quality imaging while meeting regulatory standards. Ideal candidates should be certified and possess experience in imaging techniques, including fluoroscopy.
Job Responsibilities:
-Takes radiographs per physician orders.
-Must be versatile within the diagnostic department of Radiology.
-Protects all patients and employees from unnecessary radiation.
-Has knowledge of the front desk operations as well as the computer systems and reports all equipment problems to manager and Clinical Engineers.
-Can schedule all exams done through the whole department-alerting a supervisor when necessary.
-Can use the centralize transport program for patient transportation.
-Can look up pertinent information in the computer systems concerning patient exams, ordering, reprinting or canceling when necessary.
-Able to interact professionally with other departments.
-Can effectively call in needed on call imaging associates as required.
-All equipment problems are called to the clinical engineering 24 hour phone number. Messages are communicated to co-workers, written or verbal.
-Managers are alerted to all equipment problems (paging during periods of on call) if necessary.
-Remains available for assignment as needed.
-Assisting the Radiologic Technologist Students.
-Performs operationally required duties associated with equipment quality assurance, regulatory compliance (ODH, Joint Commission), ordering of supplies, scheduling of staff and hospital and departmental audits.
-Access to patient records in course of normal operations to conduct the business of medical imaging is a responsibility of all designated personnel.
Skills: Required Skills & Experience:
-Knowledge of medical terminology, isolation and sterile techniques/procedures.
-Patient positioning and equipment operation (x-ray machines and printers).
Certified Radiology Technologist, Radiology

Duties: Job Description:
Performs routine radiographic, fluoroscopic and portable examinations in the diagnostic department of Radiology, on nursing units, outpatient areas and the surgery department.
Duration: 13 weeks Shift 7AM-4PM No weekend or call. Three locations—Blue Ash, Montgomery and Joint and Spine at the main hospital. But all days are full days, no travel between offices. There is some MA work, rooming patients, helping with ultrasound procedures. Required: must have C-arm experience Preference: experienced with fluoroscopy
