Job summary

Penn State is seeking a full-time Swimming Pool Operator – Grade 6 to join the Aquatic Facilities team on campus in University Park, PA. The role involves operating and maintaining pool systems, performing water tests, and ensuring regulatory compliance.

The successful candidate will have a CPO certification, and move toward obtaining the Pennsylvania Pesticide Applicator Certification within 6 months of hire. Prior experience in pool operations and strong math skills are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform minor repairs and adjustments to pool systems and chemical controls.
• Conduct routine pool water tests and record results per state health laws.

• Supervise part‑time staff and track hours and assignments.
• Assist with inspections and ensure sanitary conditions meet regulations.
