Job summary

University of Pittsburgh is seeking a Temporary Certified Pool Operator to support Facilities Management on the Pittsburgh campus. The schedule is Tuesday through Saturday, 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM, with 40-hour weeks and on-site duties including water chemistry testing, pool and equipment inspection, log maintenance, and handling pool chemicals.

A High School Diploma or GED is required, plus a National Pool and Spa Foundation certification and a Category 24 Pesticides Operator certification.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Pool and spa operator certification through the National Pool and Spa Foundation is required.
• Category 24 Pesticides Operator certification through the Department of Agriculture is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform pool maintenance and testing of water chemistry.
• Inspect pool and equipment; maintain required logs.
• Handle pool chemicals and perform filter plant duties.
• Maintain pool deck and cleaning as assigned.
