• AZ POST certification must be valid with no misconduct.
• Testing includes POPAT, AZ POST daytime pistol qualification, oral board and interview.
• There is no written examination.
• One year of related work experience and a high school diploma or GED are required.

Responsibilities

• Patrols assigned areas, provides security and prevent crime.
• Responds to emergency and non-emergency calls for service and documents incidents.
• Arrests violators, transports and processes suspects, and testifies in court.
• Completes detailed reports and required paperwork.
• Represents the City Police at court hearings and participates in community outreach.
