The City of Lancaster is seeking a Plant Maintenance Mechanic to perform skilled maintenance and repair on water and wastewater plant equipment in a demanding outdoor/indoor environment. You will repair pumps, valves, motors, piping and related machinery, ensuring safe operation and reliability.

Requirements include a High School diploma or GED and 3+ years of hands-on experience with water/wastewater equipment, plus the ability to read blueprints and use hand tools.

Formación

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 3+ years’ experience in maintenance and repair of pumps, motors, valves, pipes and related water/wastewater equipment.
• Ability to read and follow blueprints and operate hand and power tools.

Responsabilidades

• Performs skilled maintenance and repair on plant and pumping station equipment.
• Follows safe practices and inspects operating conditions.
• Repairs pumps, valves, motors, pipes, and related equipment.
• Disassembles, repairs, and reassembles plant machinery including grit machines, gear systems, and piping.
• Maintains and repairs odor control systems and chemical feeds as needed.
