Ventura County Health Care Agency–Ventura County Medical Center seeks a phlebotomy technician to perform venipuncture and related duties in the clinical laboratory. The role includes preparing materials, ensuring clean work areas, and assisting with specimen delivery and referrals.

The position requires a valid California phlebotomy certificate, weekend rotation willingness, and the ability to work across multiple CPT levels, including PDP roles. Overtime compensation applies where eligible.

Qualificações

• Must possess and maintain a valid Phlebotomy Certificate issued by the California State Department of Health Services.
• Willing to work rotating weekends as needed.

Responsabilidades

• Performs venipuncture and capillary collection on inpatients and outpatients of all ages on all wards.
• Prepares materials and equipment necessary for phlebotomy.
• Stocks phlebotomy trays and storage areas keeping work area clean.
• Answers the telephone, takes messages and relays requests for blood draws.
• Assists in the delivery of specimens to departments and prepares specimens for referral.
• Assists in the orientation of new employees; and
• Performs other related duties as required.

Phlebotomy Certificate issued by the California State Department of Health Services

Phlebotomy Certificate issued by the California State Department of Health Services and 1 year hospital laboratory experience
