Job summary

Shasta Regional Medical Center, part of Prime Healthcare, is seeking a Certified Phlebotomy Technician I to join a dedicated laboratory team in Northern California. You will perform venipuncture and skin puncture across ages, process specimens for microbiology, hematology and chemistry, and support the Lab Director with daily tasks.

Requirements include a High School Diploma, CPT I certification, BLS within 45 days, and about one year of clinical lab experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Current CPT I certification is required.
• BLS certification within 45 days of hire.
• Minimum of one year of clinical laboratory experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform venipuncture and skin puncture on patients of all ages.
• Process specimens for microbiology, hematology, chemistry and blood bank.
• Stock routine supplies and maintain clean storage areas.
• Enter data, file, answer calls and support clerical tasks.
• Demonstrate proper phlebotomy technique and specimen handling.
