Candidates should have a High School diploma or equivalent, and a Phlebotomy Certification (CPBT).

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required; vocational training 3-12 months preferred.
• PHLEBOTOMY CERTIFICATION - CPBT is required.
• Knowledge of general phlebotomy equipment is required.

Responsibilities

• Collect specimens from patients and ensure safety and comfort.
• Accession samples in the computer system for testing and billing.
• Perform Point of Care testing as needed.
• Observe safety rules and report hazardous exposures.
