Shasta Regional Medical Center, a member of Prime Healthcare, seeks a part-time Certified Phlebotomy Technician I for phlebotomy duties in the clinical laboratory under supervision.

The role includes skin puncture or venipuncture on patients of all ages, specimen processing, and support for lab operations. HS diploma, CPT I, and BLS within 45 days are required; 1 year of clinical lab experience preferred.

Qualificações

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Current CPT I certification required.
• BLS certification within 45 days of hire and maintained current.
• Minimum of one year clinical laboratory experience preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Meet regulatory requirements of CA Codes to work in clinical laboratory.
• Perform skin puncture or venipuncture on patients of all ages under supervision.
• Data entry, filing, and clerical duties.
• Demonstrate proper phlebotomy technique and specimen handling.
• Maintain cleanliness of storage areas and equipment.
• Assist with sample transport and routine lab duties.
• Other tasks as assigned by department manager/director.
