Job summary

La Palma Intercommunity Hospital is seeking a Certified Phlebotomy Technician I to join our diagnostics team on the night shift. You will perform venipuncture and skin puncture to obtain blood samples, while upholding strict safety and procedural standards.

The ideal candidate holds CPT I certification, a High School Diploma, and BLS within 45 days of hire, with at least one year of clinical lab experience. We offer a comprehensive benefits package and a supportive, community-focused environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Current and valid CPT I certification required.
• BLS certification within 45 days of hire and maintained current, required.
• Minimum of one (1) year of clinical laboratory experience, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform skin puncture or venipuncture to obtain blood specimens.
• Maintain proper phlebotomy technique and safety standards.
• Handle data entry, filing, and telephone communications.
• Ensure proper storage, handling of specimens, and transport to laboratories.
• Assist department as directed by the supervisor.
