Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Formal phlebotomy training or on‑the‑job training with documented competency required.
• Certification as a Phlebotomy Technician required.
• BLS certification within 45 days of hire and maintained.
• Minimum of one year clinical laboratory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform skin puncture or venipuncture on patients of all ages.
• Enter data and perform clerical duties.
• Demonstrate proper phlebotomy technique and use of equipment.
• Process specimens from various laboratory departments.
• Assist with specimen pickup and sample sorting as needed.
• Load specimens on automated lab instruments according to policy.
• May work across multi‑departments or night shifts.
