Job summary

CoxHealth Branson is hiring a Pharmacy Technician for the Inpatient Pharmacy Branson. The role involves assisting pharmacists with medication preparation and distribution, inventory control, and maintaining patient records in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Under supervision, you will interact with patients to ensure quality service. Candidates must be certified technicians and be registered or eligible for registration with the Missouri State Board of Pharmacy within 90 days of hire.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• Applicants must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must be certified as a Pharmacy Technician through a nationally accredited Pharmacy organization.
• Registered with the Missouri State Board of Pharmacy or application in process with certification within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

Job Description

Pharmacy technicians assist pharmacists in preparing and distributing medications, maintaining the drug inventory, and maintaining patient records. Pharmacy technicians work only under the supervision of a registered pharmacist. They do not perform duties that can legally be performed only by a registered pharmacist. Pharmacy technicians present completed medications to the pharmacist for verification, routinely interact with patients to ensure quality service and other job duties where applicable.
