Responsibilities include processing orders, delivering meds, stocking automated dispensing systems, and documenting charges. Certification and a high school diploma are required, with 2+ years of experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Certification as a Pharmacy Technician as mandated by state of practice - Required
• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent - Required
• 2+ years applicable experience - Preferred

Responsibilities

• Performs technical tasks vital to the distribution of medications under supervision of the Attending Pharmacist
• Fills, labels, and distributes ordered medications according to procedures and regulations
• Maintains drug inventory and patient records and conducts quality checks and performance improvement measures
• Delivers medications and supplies; picks up new orders and medications for return
• Dispenses controlled substances with proper documentation and alerts pharmacist of discrepancies
• Ensures medications are checked and released by a pharmacist prior to dispensing or delivery
• Keeps pharmacy areas clean, organized, and well stocked
• Performs other duties as assigned
