Job summary

Qualifications

• High School diploma required
• Or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Active certification from a nationally accredited pharmacy technician program (PTCB) upon hire required
• Previous pharmacy experience preferred
• Knowledge of ICARE values and professional ethics

Responsibilities

• Assists pharmacist in operating and maintaining the pharmacy's drug distribution system, focusing on quality, accuracy, patient care and customer service.
• Prepares medication orders for dispensing under supervision of a pharmacist.
• Processes orders through the pharmacy computer system and operates automated medication management systems.
• Physically prepares medication doses for pharmacist review and delivery to patients or care areas.
• Ensures all work complies with state, federal and local regulations.
