This part-time role requires accuracy, confidentiality, and teamwork. You will assist with inventory, labeling, vaccination administration where allowed, and ongoing compliance with HIPAA and state/federal regulations, while upholding Hy-Vee's commitment to health and happiness for our customers.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Certified national pharmacy technician license required; maintain continuing education.
• Previous experience as a pharmacy technician or clerk preferred.
• Vaccination certification required if administering vaccines.
• Ability to handle confidential patient information per HIPAA.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and provide friendly service.
• Handle non-pharmacist inquiries and basic support.
• Accept new prescriptions and refill requests as directed.
• Assist pharmacists with preparation and labeling of medications.
• Process insurance claims and assist with third-party billing.
• Maintain cleanliness and HIPAA compliance in the dispensing area.
• Stock pharmacy supplies and log invoices.
