Job summary

Walgreens in Burlington, VT is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to assist the pharmacist under supervision, handle patient and drug information, process prescriptions, and support cash-register operations. You will help deliver a distinctive customer experience and participate in inventory and clerical duties to keep the Pharmacy running smoothly.

Responsibilities include using pharmacy systems, verifying details, entering data, counting and pouring medications, and supporting clinical services

Qualifications

• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Willingness to work flexible schedule, including evenings and weekend hours.
• Six months of experience in a retail environment (preferred).
• Prior Walgreens experience preferred.
• Good math skills for counting, measuring and weighing medications.
• Good computer skills.
• Knowledge of store inventory control (preferred).
• PTCB certification (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Assist the pharmacist under supervision in the practice of pharmacy and in accordance with policies.
• Enter patient and drug information in pharmacy systems; assist with and coach technicians if certified.
• Maintain accurate prescriptions and check for drug interactions under supervision.
