Job summary

KPH Healthcare Services, Inc. in Vermont is seeking a Pharmacy Clerk to support the pharmacist with prescription processing, patient service, and inventory management at Kinney Drugs locations.

You will assist in triaging, processing and delivering prescriptions and assist in front-end operations, including cash handling and training. Preferred qualifications include AS degree or higher and Vermont Pharmacy Technician registration; experience in hospital or retail pharmacy is a plus.

Qualifications

• Preferred AS degree or higher.
• Preferred hospital or retail pharmacy experience.
• PTCB or other nationally recognized certification program.

Responsibilities

• Run cash register and answer telephones as needed.
• Learn and use the pharmacy management system and POS system; follow instructions with urgency.
• Ensure every prescription is checked by a pharmacist prior to dispensing.
• Assist in third-party claim submissions and resubmissions as required.
• Assist in inventory management including ordering, receiving, and cycle counting.
• Locate prescription files and other records, and prepare/file pharmacist-signed documents.
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and follow all company policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties and participate in MTM and patient-centered services.
