Job summary

Smith’s Food & Drug Centers seeks a dedicated pharmacy technician to support pharmacists, assist with dispensing and data entry, and help uphold HIPAA and safety standards. You will contribute to customer care, accuracy, and regulatory compliance across daily pharmacy operations.

The role involves light compounding under supervision, participating in screenings where allowed, and ensuring a clean, compliant work environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Must be 18 years of age.
• Ability to handle highly confidential information.
• Completion of national registration, certification or licensure.

Responsibilities

• Support pharmacist in all responsibilities except those requiring a pharmacist's professional judgement.
• Provide stellar customer experience across reception, data entry, adjudication and dispensing.
• Assist with compounding medications according to regulations.
• Perform post-fill audits to verify prescription information.
• Support non-dispensing services using various platforms and applications.
• Complete CLIA-waived screenings in accordance with laws and policies.
• Comply with sanitation and safety regulations and report unsafe conditions.
