Position: Certified Pharmacy Technician

Hours Per 2-week Pay Period: 50-51 hours

Shift: Days

Schedule: Varies 3 days/week 7:00 am - 4:00 pm or 8:00 am - 5:00 pm

Weekend Rotation: Every 5th Saturday & Sunday 8:00 am - 4:30 pm

Holiday Rotation: Yes

Position Summary

The Technician provides support to the Pharmacist and the Pharmacy Department in accordance with the Minnesota Board of Pharmacy's laws and regulation. Pharmacy Technicians take important steps to ensure all medication needs and regulatory compliance standards are met for our patients while demonstrating ethical conduct and always maintaining patient privacy.

Education and Experience

• High school graduate.
• Registered and Certified Pharmacy Technician (if after 2012 Board of Pharmacy Update); certification through the Minnesota Board of Pharmacy.
• Hospital experience preferred but not required.

Required Skills and Abilities

• Strong computer knowledge and business skillset desired; preferred background in medical and pharmacy terminology.
• Exceptional people skills: strong communication skillset and attention to detail required.
• Ability to work independently and as an active member of the team while always maintaining patient confidentiality.
• No history of drug addiction or misuse.

Compensation and Benefits

Compensation decisions are made based off of several factors including relevant work experience, education, certification and licensure as well as internal equity. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at the top of their hourly range.

Hourly Range: $22.21 - $28.88/ Hour
