Job summary

AdventHealth in Kansas seeks an experienced hospital pharmacy technician to support enterprise inventory and formulary initiatives. You will monitor controlled substances, conduct audits, and contribute to medication safety and cost containment across the system.

Required is 2+ years in hospital pharmacy, active Kansas tech registration, and PTCB certification. The role is full-time, daytime shift in Shawnee Mission, KS, with 9100 W 74th St as the address shown in the posting.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of contemporary hospital pharmacy experience (Required).
• Active state pharmacy technician registration required.
• Kansas Registered Pharmacy Technician (RPhT) and PTCB - Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) are required.

Responsibilities

• Leads enterprise-level inventory operations, including procurement processes, formulary alignment, and perpetual inventory accuracy.
• Oversees controlled substance programs, diversion prevention, and compliance with DEA and institutional policies.
• Conducts advanced audits and operations reviews to advise on inventory integrity analytics, cost containment strategies, medication shortage mitigation, and supply chain resilience.
• Leads system-wide medication safety initiatives, including risk mitigation, error prevention, and safety education.
• Facilitates root cause analysis and continuous improvement efforts; serves as pharmacy safety champion and advisor to leadership.
