Job summary

Norton Healthcare, Inc. is seeking a Certified Pharmacy Technician to support in our inpatient and retail pharmacies.

The role involves assisting pharmacists, ensuring safe medication management, and delivering high quality patient care across the system. The ideal candidate holds an Active CPhT certification and is eligible for KY licensure as a PHT or PHI, with 1 year of pharmacy experience and a high school diploma or GED preferred.

Qualifications

• Active National Certification as a Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) through the PTCB or NHA.
• AND one of: Pharmacy Technician (PHT), KY OR Pharmacy Intern (PHI), KY.
• You can register for licensure by Kentucky Board of Pharmacy.

Responsibilities

• Supports & assists the pharmacist in medication use and patient care.
• Follows guidelines under supervision of the pharmacist for medication prep and distribution.
• Performs IV admixture, dispensing assistance, inventory in unit-based cabinets, verbal refill approvals, insurance verification, and medication deliveries.

• Requires following appropriate guidelines under the supervision of the pharmacist for medication preparation and distribution.

• Responsibilities include IV admixture, assisting the pharmacist with the dispensing of medications, maintaining medications in unit-based cabinets, taking verbal refill approvals from provider'soffices, insurance verification, working with technology, and deliveries of medications.

Qualifications

Required:
