Job Description
Are you ready to take an active role in a dynamic pharmacy department within a leading hospital? We are seeking a dedicated Pharmacy Technician to support our pharmacists in ensuring the safe and efficient preparation, distribution, and management of medications across various units, including inpatient, outpatient, emergency room, and operating room settings.
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
- Active National Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT) via PTCB or ExCPT.
- Certified Pharmacy Technician registration with the Ohio Board of Pharmacy.
- Strong attention to detail and exceptional interpersonal skills.
Work Schedule & Benefits
- Full-time (80 hours bi-weekly) with weekend and holiday rotations.
- $5,000 sign-on bonus for qualified external candidates only (one-year commitment).

Key Responsibilities
- Under the supervision of a registered pharmacist, you will:
- Prepare, package, label, and dispense medications in accordance with department protocols.
- Operate automated pharmacy systems and maintain accurate medication records.
- Manage inventory, ensuring appropriate stock rotation and compliance with safety standards.
- Maintain controlled substance documentation and report discrepancies as necessary.
- Prioritize and optimize workflow while collaborating with healthcare teams.
- Respond professionally to requests via phone, in writing, or in person.
- Assist in training new employees to uphold quality standards.

- This role requires the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced healthcare environment. Responsibilities involve standing, walking, and performing detailed tasks that demand focus and dexterity. Candidates should be prepared for the following physical and cognitive demands:
- Frequent: Standing, walking, reaching, pushing, thinking/reasoning, use of hands, interpersonal communication, concentrating, continuous learning, and reading.
- Occasional: Lifting (11–50 lbs), stooping, and hearing conversations.
- Rare: Climbing, kneeling, lifting (50+ lbs), and pulling.
- Consistent: Handling detailed tasks with precision, maintaining color vision accuracy, and managing inventory effectively.
