Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; background check and drug testing as required; maintain current PTCB certification and state license as required.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills; strong data entry and basic mathematics.
• Effective time management and ability to multitask; interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team.
• Desire and ability to learn all aspects of pharmacy operations including scheduling and other delegated duties; open schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Pass an EPS competency evaluation and "unsupervised" qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and provide prompt, courteous service and assistance.
• Help pharmacists prepare prescriptions by counting, pouring, labeling, and pricing.
• Ensure customers receive all prescriptions and file written forms after dispensing.
• Prepare and complete manual insurance claim forms if needed; maintain organized filing system.
• Maintain confidentiality of customer and company information; adhere to safety standards and policies.
• Assist in inventory control, including ordering supplies and handling controlled substances.
