How You’ll Impact Patient Care:
Your responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
- Helping pharmacists prepare and process medication orders to ensure patients and departments receive the right medications on time and are charged correctly.
- Organizing daily tasks for maximum efficiency and collaborating well with team members.
- Maintaining medicine stock in good condition to ensure availability of quality drugs and supplies.
- Offering pharmacy services in patient care areas.
- Participating in team efforts to improve quality and supporting the Pharmacy Department's commitment to Total Quality principles.
- Keeping knowledge and skills up to date and helping educate others.
- Setting personal goals to support quality improvement and departmental objectives.
- Fostering a positive work environment through good communication, relationships, and teamwork in accordance with hospital standards.
- Providing age-specific care tailored to different age groups as per Age Specific Care Guidelines.
What You Will Need:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
- PTCB/NHA technician certification (CPhT) required.
- North Carolina Board of Pharmacy registration as a pharmacy technician required within 30 days of hire.
Nice To Have (Not Required):
- Completion of a formal technician training program preferred.
- One-year previous pharmacy experience preferred.
- Associate degree in a healthcare or business-related field preferred.
