Position Highlights:
  • Full-Time, Days
  • Schedule: 1st shift, M-F w/ WE and HOL rotation

How You’ll Impact Patient Care:

Your responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

  • Helping pharmacists prepare and process medication orders to ensure patients and departments receive the right medications on time and are charged correctly.
  • Organizing daily tasks for maximum efficiency and collaborating well with team members.
  • Maintaining medicine stock in good condition to ensure availability of quality drugs and supplies.
  • Offering pharmacy services in patient care areas.
  • Participating in team efforts to improve quality and supporting the Pharmacy Department's commitment to Total Quality principles.
  • Keeping knowledge and skills up to date and helping educate others.
  • Setting personal goals to support quality improvement and departmental objectives.
  • Fostering a positive work environment through good communication, relationships, and teamwork in accordance with hospital standards.
  • Providing age-specific care tailored to different age groups as per Age Specific Care Guidelines.
What You Will Need:
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • PTCB/NHA technician certification (CPhT) required.
  • North Carolina Board of Pharmacy registration as a pharmacy technician required within 30 days of hire.
Nice To Have (Not Required):
  • Completion of a formal technician training program preferred.
  • One-year previous pharmacy experience preferred.
  • Associate degree in a healthcare or business-related field preferred.
