Job summary

Care New England Health System is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to assist pharmacists with preparing, dispensing and inventory management of medications. The role supports patient records, labeling, reporting and QA activities within the hospital setting.

The position requires a High School diploma or hospital-based training leading to certification, CPHT certification, RI Tech II licensure, computer proficiency, and strong English communication.

Qualifications

• Must be certified through the PTCB CPHT and licensed as RI Tech II.
• Rotating shifts including days, evenings, and nights, plus every other weekend/holiday.
• Experience with computers and strong interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in the English language.

Responsibilities

• Assists pharmacists in preparing, dispensing and maintaining inventory of drugs.
• Maintains patient records, creates reports, labels medications and audits controlled substances.
• Supports daily operations in the Infusion Center and infection control standards.
• Completes labeling requirements and participates in quality assurance activities.
• Assists in day-to-day operations and pharmacist support tasks.
