Job Description Summary: Under the direction of a licensed Pharmacist, the compounding technician works in a clean room compounding medication at least 50% of the time to ensure safe, accurate, and efficient compounding operations.

A Day in the Life at Prosper Infusion

As a compounding technician, you will prepare and pack medication doses, monitor inventory, enter and retrieve patient data, maintain equipment, keep the workspace clean, and collaborate with pharmacists and other health‑care workers as a team member.

Licensure / Certification / Registration

• Certified pharmacy technician through either the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) or Exam for Certification of Pharmacy Technicians (ExCPT)
• Registered with the State of Ohio Board of Pharmacy as a Certified Pharmacy Technician

Knowledge / Skills

• Good interpersonal skills and excellent verbal and written communication
• Ability to read and write English printed material
• Proficiency with computer keyboard operations
• Ability to compute simple algebraic ratios, volume/volume percentages, and weight/volume percentages
• Ability to work well as a team member with other health‑care workers
• Capability to lift up to 50 lbs

Essential Duties & Functions

• Prepare and pack medication doses prior to pharmacist review and dispensing
• Monitor drug inventory levels to ensure a continuous supply without stockpiling supplies
• Enter and retrieve information from a database or patient profile
• Troubleshoot problems and perform minor maintenance on pharmacy equipment, printers, computers, and telecommunication equipment with adequate training
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment
• Other duties as assigned
