Job summary

Amazon Pharmacy in Plainfield, IN is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to assist pharmacists, fill prescriptions, and support distribution operations. The role includes packaging, labeling, sorting, and handling shipments with shifts that may start or end outside normal hours.

Starting pay is $24.40–$27.90 hourly and includes benefits such as health coverage and 401(k) matching. Qualified candidates will have a high school diploma, an in-state pharmacy license if required, National Certification

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Active and unrestricted in-state Board of Pharmacy License through the State Board of Pharmacy, if required by State Board of Pharmacy.
• National Pharmacy Technician Certification (PTCB or NHA)
• 6+ months of experience using computer and web-based tools.
• Ability to communicate effectively with coworkers and supervisor.
• Ability to read and understand English language labeling on product cartons and prescription labels.

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacist in filling prescriptions as permitted by state board.
• Maintain a safe and clean pharmacy following procedures and regulations.
• Work with leadership to ensure correct medications are packed.
• Operate automated machinery to pre-sort and package medications.
• Fill exception trays with appropriate medication.
• Process Amazon Pharmacy orders through workflow stages from dispense to QC.
• Count and label prescription vials and bulk items.
• Pack and ship completed orders with correct labels.
• Sort and route boxes for timely shipment.
• Support distribution manager and pharmacists with receiving, shipping, counting, and packing.
• Maintain equipment and work areas.

Key Job Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacist in filling prescription items, as permitted by the state board of pharmacy
• Maintain a safe and clean pharmacy by complying with procedures, rules and regulations
• Work daily with Leadership to ensure the right medications are put in the right packets
• Run automated machinery required to pre-sort and package medications
• Fill exception trays with appropriate medication
• Transition Amazon Pharmacy orders through different workflow stages from initial dispense through quality control
• Count and fill prescription vials and affix labels on bulk prescription items
• Pack and ship completed orders including printing and affixing appropriate labels on dispenser, shipping boxes
• Sort and triage the right boxes to ship at the right time
• Aid the distribution manager and distribution pharmacists with receiving, shipping, counting, and packing
• Clean, and help maintain, equipment and work areas
• Package medications for dispensing and for delivery
• Work a flexible schedule - shifts will possibly start and end outside of normal business hours

Physical Requirements

• During shifts last up to 12 hours (standard full-time shifts are 10 hours excluding overtime, flex and part-time shifts may vary):
• Standing, bending, reaching above the head, kneeling, crouching and/or stretching
• Lifting and moving products up to 49 lbs in weightManual dexterity of hands and wrists

Basic Qualifications

The starting pay for this position is listed below, including the base pay rate plus the highest available shift differential which applies depending on the shift you select. As a total compensation company, additional earnings may include shift differentials and overtime pay. Final pay will be based on factors including shift selection and location.
