Job summary

St. Elizabeth Healthcare is seeking a pharmacy technician to support the Medical Village Pharmacy under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist.

The role involves medication preparation, dispensing, inventory oversight, and coordination of hospice and offsite services while maintaining patient confidentiality and accurate records. The ideal candidate will have a High School diploma, PTCB or NHA certification, and state BOP registration, with strong Excel skills and attention to accuracy.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or equivalent GED.
• PTCB or NHA certification and BOP registration in state where work is performed per state regulations.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Rx calculations.

Responsibilities

• Answer phones in a timely and courteous manner, HIPAA compliant.
• Greet customers who enter the pharmacy and assist with their needs.
• Oversee expiration dates and ensure stock is organized using the 5S method.
• Assist pharmacist in dispensing medications accurately and timely.
• Understand third-party billing and assist with issue resolution.
• Place and check wholesale orders, receive shipments, and stock shelves.
