Job summary

Walgreens in Kingsport, TN seeks an eligible candidate to assist the pharmacist under direct supervision and perform Pharmacy Department duties in line with policy. You will use pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information and process prescriptions, and coach technicians if PTCB certified.

You will greet customers, resolve issues, support inventory and cash handling, and help coordinate clinical services with local providers.

Qualifications

• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Willingness to work flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
• Prefer six months of experience in a retail environment.
• Prefer prior Walgreens experience.
• Prefer good math and computer skills; knowledge of store inventory control.
• Prefer PTCB certification.

Responsibilities

• Assist the pharmacist under direct supervision in the practice of pharmacy and relate duties.
• Process prescriptions using pharmacy systems and assist with third party claims.
• Provide a distinctive customer experience and resolve issues.
• Support inventory management and cash handling.
• Assist with coordination of clinical services and outreach.
