UC Health is hiring a full-time Certified Pharmacy Technician in Pharmacy Administration at the University of Cincinnati’s Medical Center. We are offering a $2000 Sign-on Bonus!

Pharmacy technicians assist pharmacists in preparing and distributing medications, maintaining the drug inventory, and maintaining patient records. Pharmacy technician trainees work only under the supervision of a registered pharmacist. They do not perform duties that can legally be performed only by a registered pharmacist.

Unit Details:

  • First shift, no nights and no weekends

  • Hybrid 50% of the time after training completion

Qualifications

  • Education: Required High School Diploma or GED
  • License and Certification: Current pharmacy technician registration and certification recognized by the Ohio State Board of Pharmacy
  • Years of Experience: No experience required; 1-2 years preferred
  • Required Skills and Knowledge: Ability to perform work accurately with attention to detail, work cooperatively with staff, handle interruptions, adapt to workload changes, set priorities, solve problems, respond quickly to emergencies, communicate effectively, and assist in meeting pharmaceutical care needs

  • Fill physician orders, prepare medication kits, and stock requisitions accurately
  • Maintain medication stock and supplies
  • Handle medication deliveries, enter orders into the system, generate reports, and respond to calls and requests
  • Organize and document quality control activities and participate in quality improvement projects
