Mount Carmel Health System in Grove City, Ohio is seeking a Certified Pharmacy Technician to support the pharmacist in timely medication provision. This full-time position runs from 2:30pm to 11:00pm and involves sterile and non-sterile compounding, packaging, inventory control, and use of automated technology.
Under Ohio Board of Pharmacy supervision, you will prepare sterile products, assist with dispensing, maintain records, and support billing.
Full time Shift: Evening Shift Description: This is a full-time, 40 hours per week, evening shift position located in Grove City. Shift starts at 2:30pm and ends at 11:00pm.
The Certified Pharmacy Tech will assist the pharmacist in assuring timely and accurate provision of medications to patients. Technician responsibilities are performed under the direct supervision of a pharmacist. These functions may include unit dose dispensing, sterile compounding, non-sterile compounding, medication packaging, inventory control, record keeping and billing, and use of equipment and automated technology.
Establish a working identity with our Pharmacy Team and continue to build upon our culture. Preparation of sterile products (including chemotherapy) using aseptic technique, in compliance with regulatory standards. Preparation of non-sterile products (including hazardous medication), in compliance with regulatory standards. Facilitate medication dispensing via Automated Dispensing Cabinets on our patient care units. Assists in the dispensing of orders/prescriptions through our pharmacy inventory system. Assists in inventory control by processing our daily Pharmacy Department order; assuring proper stock rotation, storage and appropriate expiration dating. Escalates medication and non-medication orders to the Purchasing Team. Assists the department with proper billing of patients and other units.
