Job summary

Walgreens Co. is seeking a Pharmacy Technician who will assist the pharmacist under direct supervision in the practice of pharmacy and support daily Pharmacy Department duties.

You will use pharmacy systems to process prescriptions and coach technicians if PTCB certified, while delivering an exceptional customer experience. The role requires English fluency, willingness to work a flexible schedule including evenings/weekends, and preferred experience in retail with strong math and computer

Qualifications

• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Willingness to work flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
• Prefer six months of experience in a retail environment.
• Prefer prior Walgreens experience.
• Prefer good math skills for accurate prescription filling.
• Prefer computer skills and knowledge of store inventory control.

Responsibilities

• Assist the pharmacist under direct supervision in the practice of pharmacy and in Pharmacy Department duties.
• Use pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information and process prescriptions; coach technicians if PTCB certified.
• Model and deliver a distinctive customer experience; engage customers and resolve issues.
• Process sales and handle cash at the register; assist in inventory management and stocking.
• Maintain compliance with policies and procedures and support pharmacy operations and quality improvement.
