Emory Healthcare is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to assist pharmacists in preparing medications and IV fluids, and to deliver to hospital departments. The technician interviews patients for medication histories in nursing areas and works under the supervision of a registered pharmacist.
Requirements include a high school diploma or GED and current PTCB certification with Georgia registration. Proficiency with standard office equipment and IV Flow Hood is expected, with a 40-hour weekly schedule.

The pharmacy technician is responsible for assisting the pharmacist in the preparation of medications and IV fluids and delivery of products to various hospital departments. In the nursing areas, the pharmacy technician will interview patients for medication histories. The technician works under the supervision of a registered pharmacist.

Current Certified Pharmacy Technician by Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB). Registered Pharmacy Tech with the State of Georgia as verified by the Georgia Secretary of State's professional licensing board.
Utilizes a variety of standard office equipment to include computer, printers, labeling machine, fax machine, copier. Also utilizes IV Flow Hood. Computer literacy of word processing, etc.
