Job summary

Central Carolina Hospital is seeking a Certified Pharmacy Technician to join Lifepoint Health’s team in North Carolina. The role is PRN/Varies, with emphasis on accurate dispensing and patient care.

Key duties include refills and maintaining automated dispensing systems, filling carts, preparing orders, and repackaging bulk medications. Licensure (CPhT) and Kentucky Board of Pharmacy registration are required, plus national certification; six months from hire to complete PT CB ICPT.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred.
• CPhT license and Kentucky Board of Pharmacy Registration required; Successful completion of the National Certification.
• PTCB or ICPT certification required 6 months from date of hire/transfer.

Responsibilities

• Refills and maintains automated dispensing systems.
• Fills medication carts on a daily basis.
• Prepares orders and maintains inventory for the pharmacy department.
• Repackages bulk medications.

How you'll contribute

A Certified Pharmacy Technician who excels in this role:

• Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent Preferred
• License: Proof of current CPhT standing and Kentucky Board of Pharmacy Registration Required; Successful completion of the National Certification
• Examination by the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) or the Institute for the Certification of Pharmacy Technician (ICPT) required 6 months from date of hire/transfer;
