About the Role: We are seeking a highly detail-oriented and dedicated Pharmacy Technician to join our sterile compounding team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing medications in a highly regulated cleanroom environment. Because safety and sterility are our highest priorities, this position begins with a rigorous 4-to-8-week training and certification process to ensure you are fully prepared for the demands of the cleanroom.

Training & Onboarding Process: During your first 4 to 8 weeks (depending on individual progression), you will focus heavily on training. Your day-to-day will involve:

• Shadowing & Support: Assisting the team in non-sterile areas, such as labeling, while you learn our processes.
• Gown Certification: Learning and demonstrating the ability to properly gown up without breaking sterility (touching anything).
• Media Qualification: Proving your ability to perform sterile compounding without introducing any contaminants into the product.
• Note: You must pass both gown certification and media qualification before you are cleared to enter the cleanroom for active compounding.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities & Work Environment (Post-Training): Once cleared for the cleanroom, this role requires strict adherence to sterile protocols and significant physical endurance.

• Cleanroom Operations: Expect to spend 6 to 8 hours of your shift fully gowned up and actively compounding inside the cleanroom.
• Physical Demands: This is a physically demanding role. You will be standing for the duration of your time in the cleanroom.
• Strict Cleanroom Protocols: To maintain the integrity of our sterile environment, absolutely no cell phones, food, or drinks are permitted inside the cleanroom.

Required Qualifications:

• Texas State Certification: Must be a Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) in the state of Texas, with a license that is active and in good standing (subject to verification via the Texas State Board of Pharmacy).
• Specialized Certification: Must hold an active IV / Sterile Compounding Certification (obtained through recognized programs such as Austin Community College, NPTA, etc.).
• Experience: A minimum of 12+ months of hands-on sterile compounding experience is required. (Acceptable experience includes work in 503A compounding pharmacies, 503B outsourcing facilities, or hospital pharmacy settings).
