Role Description

The Certified Pharmacy Technician is a full-time, on-site role based at Nour Pharmacy in Clifton, NJ. The technician supports pharmacists by accurately processing prescriptions, preparing medications, and verifying patient information in accordance with regulatory and safety guidelines. Day-to-day responsibilities include receiving and entering prescriptions into the pharmacy system, counting and labeling medications, managing inventory and stock levels, and assisting with ordering and returns. The role also involves providing courteous customer service at the counter and over the phone, answering routine questions, handling transactions, and maintaining a clean, organized work area. The technician collaborates with pharmacists and other team members to ensure efficient workflow, timely service, and strict adherence to privacy and confidentiality standards.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of prescription processing and medication handling, with the ability to accurately interpret and enter prescription information.
• Understanding of pharmacy operations and procedures, including familiarity with pharmacy systems and regulatory requirements.
• Experience working as a Pharmacy Technician, with skills in supporting pharmacists and coordinating daily dispensing activities.
• Competence in inventory control, including monitoring stock, rotating medications, and assisting with ordering and reconciliation.
• Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to communicate clearly, handle questions professionally, and support a positive patient experience.
• Current Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) credential and registration or licensure as required by the State of New Jersey.
• Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic computer proficiency and comfort learning pharmacy software systems.
• Ability to stand for extended periods, lift and move medication stock as needed, and follow safety and confidentiality protocols.
• Prior retail or community pharmacy experience is preferred; bilingual communication skills are a plus.
