Job summary

Qualifications

• Registration with NC Board of Pharmacy required unless enrolled in PharmD program.
• CPHT (PTCB) or ExCPT (NHA) certification preferred unless enrolled in PharmD program.
• Prior pharmacy technician experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Select, label, and package medications for distribution to hospitals/clinics.
• Store, handle, and ship meds in compliance with policies and regulations.
• Receive, verify, and stock incoming pharmaceutical products.
• Conduct routine inventory counts and cycle counts; manage expiration dates.
• Maintain records of drug movements in the warehouse system.
• Prepare orders for shipment with correct packaging and labeling.
• Assist in repackaging non-sterile meds as needed.
• Keep warehouse areas clean and organized.
• Coordinate workflow with pharmacy staff and leadership.
• Respond to inquiries from customers and internal departments.
• Assist training of new employees and support process improvements.
• Participate in audits and regulatory compliance activities.
