Job summary

Ultipro in Oregon is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to join our on-site team in a full-time role. You will interpret prescriptions, prepare medications, and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.

Required: Oregon Board of Pharmacy Certified Pharmacy Technician license; preferred: retail pharmacy experience. Duties include data entry, insurance billing, inventory management, and maintaining patient safety.

Responsibilities

• Interpret and accurately enter prescription information into the pharmacy computer system.
• Prepare medications for dispensing including accurate labeling and documentation under the supervision of a pharmacist to ensure compliance with departmental/state/federal regulations and patient safety.
• Knowledge of hazardous materials and associated safety practices.
• Bill third party insurance plans accurately, including investigating coverage. Resolve rejected claims in a timely manner.
• Have an in-depth knowledge of all technician and pharmacy clerk roles. Performs clerk duties when needed.
• Provide excellent customer service with a desire to provide exceptional patient satisfactions in person and on the telephone.
• Maintain and organize pharmacy inventory. Stocks the shelves, rotatING stock appropriately and cost effectively.
• Accurately maintains narcotics control data.
• Process packaging patients, including obtaining MARs.
• Maintain a safe and clean pharmacy. Report failures or need for repair.
• Contribute to policy changes and project work for improvement of the Pharmacy.
• Maintain National Certification.
