You will perform pharmaceutical calculations, compound non-sterile dosage forms, and use inventory systems and dispensing cabinets in a fast-paced setting. Operates under strict state and federal regulations, including record-keeping and infection control.

Formación

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Registered Pharmacy Technician in the state of practice.
• Active CPTEXCPT or CPTPTCB or CPHT certification.
• Six months of IV medication compounding experience.

Responsabilidades

• Alerts pharmacy director, coordinator, clinical coordinator, or pharmacist of immediate problems requiring corrective action.
• Fills unit dose cart, floor stock, medication orders, and delivers to patient care areas in a timely manner.
• Prepares IV admixtures using sterile technique.
• Prepares prescriptions for pharmacist review and dispensing.
• Checks floor stock for outdates and overstock to ensure quality medications.
• Screens inquiries and directs to the appropriate pharmacist for accurate communication.
