Job summary

Fred Meyer is seeking a pharmacy technician to join our Oregon store team. You will assist the pharmacist, provide a stellar customer experience, and handle reception, data entry, adjudication, and dispensing steps with accuracy.

Responsibilities include supporting non-dispensing services, adhering to HIPAA regulations, and maintaining sanitation and safety standards while upholding company policies. Opportunities for growth and ongoing training are available.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Must be 18 years of age.
• Ability to handle highly confidential information.
• Completion of national registration, certification or licensure.
• Desired: any previous comparable experience.
• Understand HIPAA regulations and company policies.
• Maintain current national/state registration or license as required.
• Assist pharmacist in all responsibilities except those requiring a pharmacist's professional judgement.
• Provide a stellar customer experience while accurately and efficiently completing all steps of reception, data entry, adjudication, and product dispensing.
• Support the coaching and training of clerks and/or technicians.
• Comply with sanitation and safety regulations and programs.
• Report illegal activity, including robbery, theft or fraud.

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacist in all responsibilities except those that require a pharmacist's professional judgement.
• Provide a stellar customer experience while accurately and efficiently completing all steps of reception, data entry, adjudication, and product dispensing.
• Support non-dispensing services through the use of various platforms, resources, and applications.
• Comply with HIPAA regulations and the company's policies.
• Maintain sanitation and safety regulations and programs according to company, local, state, and federal health code regulations.
• Support clerks and technicians through ongoing coaching and training.
• Complete CLIA-waived screenings where allowed by state and federal law and company policies.
