Job summary

TriStar Horizon Medical Center is seeking a Certified Pharmacy Technician to support pharmacists in daily operations, including procurement, preparation, delivery, and restocking of medications. This role emphasizes accurate dispensing, adherence to policies, and exceptional customer service to internal and external customers.

The position requires Tennessee State Pharmacy Technician licensure and PTCB certification, with hospital experience preferred.

Qualifications

• PTCB Certification is required.
• Tennessee State Pharmacy Technician license is required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a strong knowledge of hospital policies and government regulations and dispenses accordingly.
• Consult with physicians and nursing staff regarding patient reactions, errors, and complaints.
• Assist with quality improvement initiatives, inventory, and ordering of pharmaceuticals.
• Monitor, record, and communicate as appropriate utilizing computerized documentation systems.
• Follow Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required.

Job Summary and Qualifications

The Certified Pharmacy Technicianis responsible forassistingPharmacists in all daily activities related to department workflow while knowing and actingin accordance withestablished policies and procedures. This positionassistsin the procurement, preparation, delivery, return, and restocking of medications, andmaintainsthe ability to use all equipment and technology necessary to fulfill job responsibilities effectively and efficiently.
