Job summary

TriStar Centennial Medical Center is seeking a Clinical Pharmacist to provide pharmaceutical care and ensure safe, effective drug therapy. The Clinical Pharmacist will monitor therapeutics, intervene as needed, and collaborate with physicians and nursing staff to optimize patient outcomes within our hospital.

Qualifications include Tennessee pharmacist licensure, at least one year of hospital experience, residency preferred, and strong communication and computer skills.

Qualifications

• Current TN Pharmacist licensure or eligible for licensure.
• One-year hospital experience or equivalent.
• Hospital pharmacy residency preferred.
• Excellent communication and computer skills.
• ACLS must be obtained within 60 months of employment start date.
• BLS must be obtained within 60 months of employment start date.
• Doctorate Degree, or Bachelor’s Degree.

Responsibilities

• You will utilize good problem-solving abilities, making sure that problems are resolved, calling on other knowledgeable parties as necessary.
• You will maintain strong knowledge of hospital policies and government regulations and dispense accordingly.
• You will consult with physicians and nursing staff regarding patient reactions, errors and complaints.
• You will determine and consult on possible drug interactions.
• You will assist with quality improvement initiatives, inventory and ordering of pharmaceuticals.
• You will monitor, record and communicate as appropriate utilizing computerized documentation systems.
• You will utilize knowledge of age specific needs of patient in performance of duties and responsibilities.

Job Summary and Qualifications
