Job summary

Holy Cross Hospital West Valley City is seeking a Pharmacy Technician II Certified to support daily pharmacy workflow, distribute medications, compound IV solutions, manage inventory, and perform charging/crediting functions in compliance with state and federal laws.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/G.E.D. required.
• 6 months compounding of IV medication required.
• Active pharmacy technician license in the state (PHARMTECH:UT) required.
• Active CPT-EXCPT or CPT-PTCB or CPHT certification in good standing required by the state.

Responsibilities

• Prepares, distributes, and delivers medications in accordance with policies and regulations.
• Performs clerical and administrative tasks in support of daily operations.
• Maintains medication and supply stock levels and operates automated medication delivery systems.
• Participates in department quality assurance programs and documents appropriately.
• Trained and certified in IV admixture preparation, including handling of hazardous/chemotherapy medication as applicable.
• Performs related duties as required.
