Responsibilities

• Pharmacy Technicians perform non-judgmental technical duties under the direct supervision of a pharmacist.
• Prepares drug orders per physician request and verifies computerized patient medication records.
• Issues controlled substances to patient care areas and maintains records as required by law.
• Verifies daily activities of the department and maintains documentation.
• Maintains licensure and CE records; attends staff meetings.
• Specialty area roles in operating room or other pharmacy work areas; ambulatory care and retail tasks as assigned.
