MercyOne Central Iowa is seeking a Certified Pharmacy Tech to provide technical support in pharmaceutical care at Des Moines Medical Center. You will assist with the preparation and delivery of medications and sterile products, stocking and ordering under supervision of a licensed pharmacist.

Qualifications

• National Pharmacy Technician Certification required.
• Registered with the Iowa Board of Pharmacy at time of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support in pharmaceutical care delivery.
• Prepare and deliver medications and sterile products.
• Stock and order drugs and other products under pharmacist supervision.

As a Certified Pharmacy Tech at MercyOne, you will provide technical support in the delivery of pharmaceutical care to clients of MercyOne Central Iowa Medical Center including the preparation and delivery of medications and sterile products, stocking and ordering of drugs and other products. Technical work is performed under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist.

Schedule:

• 40 hours a week
• Varied shifts

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED when nationally certified through NHA
• PTCB nationally certified technicians do NOT require HS diploma or GED
• National Pharmacy Technician Certification
• Registered with the Iowa Board of Pharmacy at time of hire
• Completion of Mandatory Reporter abuse training for child and dependent adult abuse within three (3) months of hire
