Job summary

Life Time, Inc. is hiring a Personal Trainer in New Jersey to develop customized client programs and deliver engaging training sessions. You will assess clients, conduct consultations, and provide on-the-floor support to ensure safety and motivation.

This role emphasizes client outcomes, service quality, and ongoing credential maintenance. Candidates should have a Certified Personal Trainer credential, CPR/AED, and at least 1 year of experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required
• 1 year of personal training experience
• Certified Personal Trainer credential
• CPR and AED certified
• Knowledge of fitness, cardiovascular training, nutrition and program design
• Ability to perform an aerobic activity for the duration of a class and lift up to 50 pounds
• Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Kinesiology, Sports Medicine or related field

Responsibilities

• Develop safe, professional client programs to drive goal achievement and retention.
• Instruct clients during sessions on safe, effective use of cardio, flexibility and strength equipment.
• Conduct fitness consultations including screening, lifestyle questionnaire and goal setting.
• Provide fitness floor assistance to ensure safety, education, and motivation.
• Promote and sell personal training programs and services.
• Complete administrative requirements for each client's fitness plan.
• Stay current on credentials and industry trends.
