Job summary

GEO Reentry Services LLC. seeks a Certified Peer Specialist to promote growth, recovery and wellness for residents receiving mental health services. The role collaborates with the clinical team to guide individuals through recovery and develop skills in areas such as self-esteem, conflict resolution, and personal strengths.

The position supports a peer culture within the treatment facility, contributing to successful reintegration into the community.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• CPS certification issued by the state.
• 1 year of experience in a community rehabilitative setting.
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to work with computers and necessary software.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate delivery of cognitive behavioral curriculum in groups.
• Establish and maintain a network of community-based services.
• Develop and maintain relationships with program administrators for residents' release.
• Assist residents in navigating public financial support and insurance.
• Ensure residents obtain benefits and identification; transport to events using company vehicles.
• Identify members for peer council and advocate with collateral contacts.
• Assist residents with steps to achieve recovery goals with their treatment team.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
