Job summary

Merakey in Colmar, PA (Montgomery County) seeks a Certified Peer Specialist to join our community-based team. You’ll use lived experience to support individuals on their mental health recovery journey and help them access services.

The CPS will empower clients to direct their own recovery, connect them to community resources, and document progress in alignment with agency standards and WRAP group participation.

Qualifications

• Working hours: Mon-Fri 9:00–5:00.
• Mileage reimbursement provided for travel to homes and community locations.

Responsibilities

• Empower individuals to direct their own recovery and build essential recovery skills.
• Educate participants on available service options and connect them to community resources.
• Coordinate and document progress, including Individualized Recovery Plans, per agency/state standards.
• Re-engage individuals who have discontinued services, including outreach and follow-ups.
• Facilitate WRAP groups and attend CPS technical assistance meetings monthly.
• Maintain Peer Certification through ongoing training.
• Support individuals with mental illness in obtaining and sustaining employment.
• Perform other related duties as needed.
