Qualifications

• Active Certified Peer Specialist certification is required.
• Lived experience with mental illness and justice involvement preferred.
• Ability to engage peers respectfully and ethically.
• Strong documentation and written communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with CCC and PADOC staff.

Responsibilities

• Provide peer support services to reentrants with justice involvement and mental health needs.
• Assist individuals in developing personal recovery goals and steps.
• Share recovery experiences to inform and motivate peers.
• Inform about community resources including housing, employment, and education.
• Attend meetings, document services, and maintain progress records.
• Advocate for services and help connect to public supports.
• Support participants in using public transportation and attending appointments.
• Promote Wellness Recovery Action Plan (WRAP) planning with peers.
